Welcome to Visions Museum of Textile Art!
At Visions Museum of Textile Art, our focus is contemporary textile, fiber, and quilt fine art. Since our beginnings in the 1980s as a juried exhibition of art quilts, VMOTA has shared the beauty of textile fine art with audiences from San Diego and around the world. We invite you to enjoy our exhibitions, attend our events, and learn with us about contemporary textile art and artists. Please come by in person to see what is currently on view, and we hope you will explore our website for images of current and past exhibitions, news of upcoming exhibitons and artists, and opportunities to sign up for engaging classes and events.
If you would like to schedule a docent-led tour of the museum, please contact our curatorial staff here. Tours are by appointment only.
Street parking can be found surrounding our building, as well as in several nearby lots. If you would benefit from accessible parking and a ramp, there’s a roundabout to the left of our main entrance on Historic Decatur Rd. for temporary parking with a ramp that leads to our facility (highlighted in the image below).
