About the Exhibition
Quilt Visions 2026 marks the 26th edition of Visions Museum of Textile Art’s International Juried Exhibition, celebrating a remarkable legacy of innovation, artistry, and excellence in contemporary quilt making. As a biennial exhibition, Quilt Visions has become an enduring platform for artists from around the world to share their creative voices while advancing the evolving language of textile art.
This milestone exhibition highlights the extraordinary diversity of contemporary quilts, showcasing works that challenge conventions, explore new materials and techniques, and engage with personal, cultural, social, and environmental narratives. Each selected work reflects the vitality of a medium that continues to expand beyond traditional boundaries while remaining rooted in the rich history of textiles.
More than a presentation of exceptional artworks, Quilt Visions 2026 serves as an essential point of connection between artists and the public. It creates opportunities for dialogue, discovery, and reflection, inviting visitors to experience the depth, complexity, and expressive power of textile art. Through this exchange, the exhibition fosters a greater appreciation for the creative process and the many stories quilts can tell.
As we celebrate this 26th international juried exhibition, with 323 submissions, we honor not only the 33 participating artists but also the jurors: Carolyn Ducey, associated with the International Quilt Museum, David van Buskirk, a skilled weaver, and Justin Ming Yong, a talented quilter; the coordinator of the final jury, Lisa Ellis, a quilt artist; and visitors who has sustained Quilt Visions over the years. Together, they have shaped a vibrant forum where artistic excellence, experimentation, and meaningful connections continue to flourish.
