ARTIST STATEMENT
I like to express my thoughts and feelings through maps. This piece has developed as I read about societies getting more and more divided around the world. I portrayed it with two cities on separate surfaces. While some streets are reaching out toward the other one.
MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES
Cotton, overprinted newspaper, tissue paper, and threads.
Cut, layered, fused, and machine-stitched.
