ARTIST STATEMENT
The day I first visited Zion National Park was the day I fell in love with orange, in all its shades and tones. Rusts, corals, siennas, melons, tangerines, apricots: they all swivel and swerve in undulating layers of sandstone that tower over you and plunge deep into canyons. The textures are just as varied: smooth, craggy, sharp, bumpy — a buffet for the hand! At magic hour the glowing rock veritably throbs with radiating beauty, and my heart feasts on its energy.
