ARTIST STATEMENT

Saantura is the closest version to my name Sandra in Inuktitut. My visit to Baker Lake, Nunavut, Canada all those years ago went on to inspire 20 years of Polar based art and textiles.

MATERIALS

A computer manipulated portrait collage of ice images that is heat transferred onto cloth and machine stitched
