ARTIST STATEMENT

I made this quilt at the very start of quarantine, when Ohio first issued stay-at-home orders. Spending so much time at home allowed me to truly think. About myself, my dreams, my friends, my family, my nightmares, my queer identity… things that get brushed over in favor of the humdrum of everyday life. I wanted to take all of this reflection and dump it into a quilt. Each symbol brings me a smile and a memory.
