ARTIST STATEMENT

My inspiration was drawn from what was in the stash – I wanted a double challenge of using what I had and staying in the color group that I chose. It was hard not to include black as so many of my choices had black in them.  I like the way it moves without having curved pieces. 

MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES

Materials: Cotton fabric, Mistyfuse, cotton batting, thread, and metallic paint.  

Techniques: The pieces are fused to the batt, machine quilted, then finished with metallic paint.
