ARTIST STATEMENT
In 1996 I visited an art quilt exhibition in Lyon for the first time in my life. It was a revelation that started me experimenting with making contemporary quilts. This piece is a reflection on my journey since then. I collaged some detail shots of my earlier pieces, printed them on tissue paper, and combined them with my recently created airy netted material.
MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES
Cotton, printed tissue paper, newspaper, and hanji paper.
Layered, fused, and machine-stitched.
