ARTIST STATEMENT

In these works, Fayle brings together materials and processes that speak to the connection between nature and the human hand. The intertwining of people and plants to make textiles can be traced back thousands of years. Fayle sees her hands as echoing the movements of all the stitchers before her and placing her within centuries of tradition and memory.
