ARTIST STATEMENT
During the summer of 2020, the world was shut down for the pandemic and politics were exploding. Fake news was everywhere. This quilt was made when my anxiety was at a peak and reflects how I processed my responses to watching the news every day. The quilt is made by improvisational quilting, a process I call “dancing with the wall,” entirely intuitive and fluid.

Cotton fabric, cotton/wool batting, polyester thread
