ARTIST STATEMENT

These pieces are part of the series called, “Piedra de apoyo emocional” (Emotional support rock). The rocks represent nature and its force. The tulle cover, embroidered with inspirational words, symbolizes our attempts to understand nature, to connect with it in a transcendental way, and to give meaning to its mystery.

Estas piezas forman parte de la serie denominada “Piedra de apoyo emocional”. Las rocas representan la naturaleza y su fuerza. La funda de tul, bordada con palabras inspiradoras, simboliza nuestros intentos de comprender la naturaleza, de conectar con ella de manera trascendental, de darle sentido a su misterio.
