ARTIST STATEMENT
One of my images of elephants at a waterhole became my subject for a contour drawing, and it ended up being quite abstract, so I used it for my inspiration on this small piece. With some colour and a small amount of collage and thread sketching, I sought to capture the essence of the elephant that is visually striking and emotionally resonant. As you delve deeper into the piece you will begin to notice the subtle outlines of elephants hidden within the design.
