ARTIST STATEMENT

This quilt is part of a series of rectangular quilts that feature colors used by famous artists. Photoshop was used to create the design using four rectangles of color stripes. I obtained the color stripes for this quilt by scanning images of paintings by Elaine de Kooning.

Digitally printed polyester whole cloth top, polyester batting, cotton canvas backing, cotton thread
