ARTIST STATEMENT

Homelessness does not only affect adults. Families with children make up 30% of the nation’s homeless population. This can have lasting effects on the children’s education and their physical and mental health.

In this series the artist has created a fabric and thread representation of a child she met. The children were all living in a homeless shelter at the time.
