MEMBERS CHALLENGE Call for Entry

The Members Challenge is an opportunity for members of all skill levels to exhibit their talent at the museum. Occurring three times a year, we challenge our community to design 12″ by 12″ textile art based on a theme. More details about upcoming Members Challenges and a contract for member participants to print, complete, and bring with their submissions are available here.

QUILT VISIONS 2026 Call for Entry closed on February 9th

The call for entries for Quilt Visions 2026, the museum’s 27th international juried exhibition, is now closed. Exhibition jurors will select work exemplifying art quilting at the highest level of quality, innovation, surface design techniques, excellence in composition, and craftsmanship. Jurors will look for innovative textile art that explores form and technique of 2D art quilts. Jurors for 2026 are Carolyn Ducey, Justin Ming Yong, and David van Buskirk.

Submissions were accepted through our ArtCall online portal only which is now closed. Please do not send submissions to VMOTA directly.

Quilt Visions 2026 will be on display at VMOTA in San Diego, from October 23, 2026 to January 16, 2027. Selected artists will receive further information regarding participation during Quilt Visions 2026 Festival Days. Festival Days will include workshops, lectures, artist meet and greets, receptions and other gatherings.
