ARTIST STATEMENT

The cyanotype process, which Fayle refers to as “the original blueprinting technique”, serves as the main technical element of this collage. To create the patterns, Fayle cut out prints on paper and rearranged the cut outs into patterns similar to those found in the natural world. Cycles and revolutions, including the rotation of the sun, serve as metaphors for the expansion of the universe and our own consciousness.
