ARTIST STATEMENT
With global warming in Antarctica, there is evidence of fossils and remnants of petrified rainforests being revealed. As part of an exhibition called ‘Concealed’, this large piece has been exhibited to represent blocks of ice. The orange and red thread represents ‘melting’.
MATERIALS
A collage of manipulated photographs taken in Antarctica. Images manipulated on computer, heat transferred onto cloth, layered and machine stitched and canvas mounted.
