ARTIST STATEMENT

Inspired by Iceland images, paper images were collaged together and heat transferred onto cotton. Heat transferred images on cloth became my preferred method of imagery on cloth. These are mounted on canvas for added dimension. Mounting on deep canvases created an ‘off the wall’ – ‘block’ effect to this series of work.

MATERIALS

Similar collage of images, first done in paper then photographed and heat transferred onto cloth. Layered with wire form machine stitched. Copper added.
