Trout Rain

72h x 67w inches

Artist Statement

In New Mexico, as one looks across the vista, you can see blocks of rain in the distance. The form in this quilt is of the rain, the cairns and other images I see in New Mexico. I live up in the foothills above Taos, and every day I think, “I live in Paradise.” Water is an issue here; Some years beautifully wet and other years so dry at first I did not know if I could live here. But I stayed, and it never fails to wow me away.
