ARTIST STATEMENT

As an artist, my hope is that viewers feel a sense of the place and a connection to that place. I think intimate landscapes give us a chance to make the connection to the earth and will hopefully unite us as its caretakers.

MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES

Materials: Commercial cotton batiks, hand dyed cotton fabrics, Misty fuse adhesive. Small amounts of mixed media including Fabrico markers and Oil Pastels. A variety of thread, including both cotton and rayon.

Techniques: Raw edge fused and machine quilted.
