ARTIST STATEMENT
As a citizen of Budapest, the theme of my work revolves around urban life. The motifs come from my keen interest in the graphic appearance of old and new maps. The fragmented, distorted, or disintegrated city plans, like labyrinths, offer a rich ground for associations and insight into growth and ways of development in the city.
MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES
Overprinted and painted newspaper, tissue paper, and threads.
Cut and machine-stitched.
