The Veranda Sale

Our galleries will be closing at 12 PM on Friday, July 31st, to help us prepare for the sale.
Public Sale: Saturday, August 1, 2026, 9:30 am – 4 pm
Every year, VMOTA hosts a fundraiser sale of fabrics, textile tools, yarn, patterns, sewing machines, and more. These items are donated by the community, and each purchase goes right back into the community by supporting the operations of our museum, keeping our doors open free of charge year-round.
By shopping our sale, you:
- Benefit from incredible prices on textiles, embellishments, and sewing tools.
- Lower your carbon footprint by buying second-hand. (Reduce, reuse, recycle!)
- Support our museum so we can continue to provide free exhibitions and accessible workshops for visitors from around the world.

Donations are closed for this year’s sale. Plan to donate to the Veranda Sale next year!
Items we can use
- Textiles of all kinds – at least 1/4 yard
- Quilt tops, blocks, and kits
- Jewelry, embellishments, beads, buttons
- Thread, lace, and trim
- Working sewing machines, sewing tools
- Weaving supplies
- Good quality yarn
Items we do not accept
- Textiles with odors / sun damage / mildew
- Fabric scraps
- Textile, fabric, and trim samples
- Books, magazines, and CDs
- Large, framed art with glass
