ARTIST STATEMENT

This mask was created to accompany a choreography by the Tijuana Dance Conservatory during Tijuana Design Week, Danza al Barro. The piece represents Tía Juana, the essence of the city with all her merits and defects. 

MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES

Recycled paper dipped in clay, ixtle, and coffee beans.

Mixed media.
