ARTIST STATEMENT

Massive glaciers, ice ages ago, advanced across the terrain, accumulating debris as they scraped and abraded the land. At their final advance, the terminal moraine, they melted, depositing the sediment that amassed along the way. Today, ice core samples are excavated from precious remaining glaciers. Lessons are learned as scientists piece together the past and predict the future.
