Tattoo Your Clothes with Embroidery with Jojo Schock
A new twist on mending your old clothes
Do you have favorite clothes with stains that won't come out, or clothes that simply don't excite you enough to wear anymore? In this four-hour workshop, get hands-on instruction to learn to embroider clothes you already have to give them new life! Consult with an expert on how to cover undesired marks on your clothes with your designs, or how to take something simple and make it extravagant. Students will also be provided with additional resources after the class to keep the learning going. By adding sentiment and customization to what we wear, we can exercise our creative problem-solving muscle, get more wear out of our clothes, and keep them out of landfills longer.
Students must bring:
- 1 article of clothing to be "tattooed"
- An idea, drawing, or Pinterest board of what the finished piece may look like
- 1-5 colors of embroidery floss that align with your idea
- A seam ripper
- A needle threader if needed
