ARTIST STATEMENT

As a city dweller, the theme of my work revolves around ideas that reflect on our relations to the place where we live, around urban life. The motifs come from my keen interest in the graphic appearance of maps which I use as a metaphor for finding our place both physically and mentally. In this abstract night cityscape, I use fragments of them like windows, striving to explore the atmosphere of our living spaces in certain moments.
