ARTIST STATEMENT
Among the challenges of a truly monochromatic palette is achieving contrast and drama without using a different color. So, fabric choices are crucial. In Spring Greens, the same silk appears as two different colors when cut with the grain and cross-grain for the top and bottom triangles; the largest, darkest triangle is a lush, glimmery satin; triangles cut from different areas of an ombré polished cotton provide a variety of tints, shades, and tones; and variegated threads add a subtle pop.
