ARTIST STATEMENT

Southern California is where I live. Generally, Southern California is described by the urban and suburban densely populated developments connected by freeway systems, manmade and natural coastal water features. What else is out there? Vast areas of mountains and desert are out there which at different elevations support different kinds of plants and animals. People have inhabited these less traveled areas for many centuries. Who knew we have our own Nasca lines in the desert cement near the Colorado River?
