Sea Creatures

October 29 — December 13, 2025

About the Exhibition

From the bathtub warm waters of Hawaii to Antarctica where penguins struggle to raise their chicks amid snow and ice to mythical seas where pirates, mermaids, and giant squid are the stories of ancient mariners…. There is an endless variety of sea creatures. Members from the local textile group, Quilts on the Wall, created images of these magical underwater creatures, using hand and machine quilting, appliqué, beading, and embroidery. We invite visitors to think about their relationship with the ocean as they look at these images.

About Quilts on the Wall

We are a group of textile artists dedicated to learning about and sharing art quilts. Our projects are displayed on the wall rather than the bed. The group votes on at least two challenges a year allowing members to create their own vision of the theme. Both juried and non-juried exhibits travel to local and national venues such as quilt and textile art shows and are displayed in art galleries.

See our YouTube channel for more content about our exhibitions.
