ARTIST STATEMENT

Sashiko Streams emerged from childhood memories of growing up in rural New England. In winter I loved to explore the frozen webs of icy streams in the woods behind my house. The crisscrossing creeks reflected the ever-changing sky and preserved my memories, like fossils, beneath the glass-like surface of the ice.
