ARTIST STATEMENT

Red-Violet Riot plays with the tints, shades, and tones of red-violet as well as shadow and light, with the help of layered prairie points. It is also an experiment with a range of inks and paints applied to various substrates, exploring the way various materials absorb and reflect color. I hope the playful nature of the experiment comes through and that Red-Violet Riot gets invited to lots of parties.
