ARTIST STATEMENT
Platform explores the beauty and chaos of communication in a world driven by rapid technological progress. Inspired by the networks of cables, wires, and digital programs, it reimagines the system using traditional handicraft methods. Using salvaged materials like floppy disks, iPhones, and iPads, objects once revolutionary but now discarded, the work reflects on how quickly innovation turns into waste. It invites us to consider the humanity behind these tools, the connections they foster, and the remnants they leave behind. In this tension between progress and obsolescence, it is both a wonder and a quiet sadness.
MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES
Materials: Floppy disks, iPhones, iPads, and threads.
Technique: Crochet, Mixed Media.
