ARTIST STATEMENT

Interpreting a vintage cathedral windows quilt top, which was printed with cyanotype and deconstructed. My Past Present series incorporates traditional vintage quilt blocks and tops assembled by other makers to create my contemporary renderings of earlier work within the historical continuum of quilt art.

Vintage commercial cottons, cyanotype chemicals, commercial cotton, cotton embroidery thread, silk, bamboo, tencel, and cotton batting

Sun printed cyanotype photograms, machine reverse applique, machine piecing, hand embroidery, hand and machine stitching
