ARTIST STATEMENT
When I created this piece, it was reminiscent of the warm summer evenings when my dad would put us all in the car and take us to the local ice cream shop. Nothing better than scoops of the cold, sweet ice cream and the crunch of the sugar cone…especially when you're a kid on a warm summer evening. Good memories!
MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES
Materials: Assorted cottons.
Techniques: Fusible appliquéd technique, machined blanket stitch, walking foot and echo quilting.
