Onion
Jean Renli Jurgenson
45 x 15 inches
ARTIST STATEMENT
Who knew that the lowly onion could be so beautiful – so graceful? (And so appropriate for this format!). This image, as well as any representational image in this exhibit, gives voice to the notion that value (light/dark) is as potent as hue (color). In this case, the sky does not need to be blue to be effective.
