ARTIST STATEMENT

My focus these last few years, nature and the repetition of shapes, have collided. Having moved out of NYC to Long Island, my afternoon walks in solitude have helped me find balance with creativity, nature, and my mindful wellbeing. With time at home, I have explored an idea I’ve been sitting on, taking a basic set of shapes and rotating them around like a Rubik’s cube to find as many design solutions within a limited palette. By pushing scale, my piecing skills, depth, movement, and ultimately connecting me back to nature in an unexpected way. I see the evening trees and I’m calm.
