ARTIST STATEMENT

This jacket showcases a blending of vintage Mexican and Americana style fabrics. The image on the back of this jacket is a map, created from textiles, detailing the exact path my parents traveled from Mexico to LA. The theme of this jacket is migration and the dream of a better life. 

MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES

Blend of vintage Mexican and Americana fabrics and metal studs.
