ARTIST STATEMENT

“Locked down” is inspired by the Corona virus lock-down. It shows the face of two young people, and the lock-down is symbolized by the black bands running over their faces. Each face consists of 3 boxes. One box with four pairs of different eyes, one box with a nose and one box with four different mouths. When the boxes are rotated it is possible to make 16 different expressions on each face. The audience is encouraged to play with the boxes by grabbing the handles on each side, rotating the boxes, and thereby changing the mood of the two young people.
