ARTIST STATEMENT

Grasses are beautiful shapes, sensuous forms, and fascinating colors. Browns, purples, and olives are captured in the print of these grasses as the soft breezes dissipate the blooms and seeds. Their intrinsic beauty is in their color and texture, contained inside of the grass and transferred to the fabric to allow us to marvel at nature’s handiwork. The preoccupied public cannot see beyond the exterior. Grasses are individuals, separate and beautiful.

Silk broadcloth, plant based dyes
