ARTIST STATEMENT

Collection: La Pesca del Día  (The catch of  the day)

A heron and her catch of the day, there are silhouettes of fish embroidered with beads around the head of the heron and abstract figures that symbolize her endangered environment. This piece is an expanded continuation of a past project called “Simbiosis” about coral bleaching in our ocean caused by contamination and global warming. 

MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES

Materials: Glass beads, 6mm Labradorite stones, felt, cotton and silk organza, cotton thread. 

Technique:   Mixed Media.
