ARTIST STATEMENT

I have followed a feminist that I have had the honor of observing during my lifetime. La Feminista honors the life of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and the incredible work she accomplished. Her recent death in 2020 was a loss that will continue to be felt. Her advocacy for gender equality and women’s rights continues to be challenged today. Women have become more pro-active and vocal. This, I believe, is part of her legacy.
