Join Our Board of Directors
Visions Museum of Textile Art (VMOTA) is in an exciting period of growth, seeking applications from individuals who would like to expand their impact by sitting on our Board of Directors. Though our regular board terms begin at our annual meeting in March, our application is open year-round for new members to fill our current openings.
About VMOTA
VMOTA celebrates and shares with the public the rich history, artistry, and cultural significance of quilting and textile art. VMOTA plays a prominent role in Southern California and the international arts and culture scenes in establishing the importance of contemporary textiles as fine art. VMOTA offers workshops, lectures and classes, special exhibition collaborations with students at local colleges, classes for elementary school students using textile collage to create self-portraits, a retail store where local textile artists sell their work, and exhibits, lectures, and other programs online. We provide a welcoming and inclusive space where individuals of all ages and backgrounds can explore, appreciate, and engage with the beauty and craftsmanship of textiles.
