ARTIST STATEMENT

I have long imagined a jury trial where I could argue my case for cutting up paintings. For example, I believe there is no difference between cutting up a work of form in art, or cutting up a work of quilt in art. If only I could get arrested for doing this.

MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES

I made this and designed this machine pieced quilt during the time of Covid quarantine, when I felt as if time and history were full of rips and distortions.

Quilted cotton fabric and paintings.
