ARTIST STATEMENT

I captured  my 2-year-old grandson in a photo just as he was about to open the flap beside the sign that read “Danger – High Voltage.” I recreated the image in cloth. 

MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES

Materials: Commercial cotton and batik fabrics, batting, and thread. 

Techniques: Fused, then machine raw edge appliquéd and machine quilted.
