ARTIST STATEMENT

The vivid color of fuchsia is named after Fuchsia, a genus of beautiful flowering plants. Magenta and fuchsia are similar colors, but the mix of pink, purple, and red in magenta includes shades of reddish brown. 

MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES

Materials: Silk, linen, cotton and polyester fabric; perle cotton thread cotton batting. 

Techniques: Freeform cut, machine stitched, hand stitched.
