ARTIST STATEMENT

I went to the studio in a playful mood, determined to use pinks and botanical shapes in this composition. Playing intuitively with shapes, patterns, and colors, a lively arrangement evolved on the design wall. What fun!

MATERIALS

Hand-dyed and commercial cotton, cotton/polyester batting, cotton/polyester thread

Freehand cut shapes, raw edge machine appliqué, layered with batting and backing, machine quilting
