ARTIST STATEMENT

COVID quarantine:

Spirals of unclaimed days, courage in small doses, and the quest to unearth truth: I resolved to take a hard look at how I tick.

I am an archaeological dig.

With guarded contemplation I scrape away my layers.

My tangled lines, frayed edges, and crusty old paint.

Unexpected truths.

Surprising revelations.

Embarrassments, too painful to expose.

And gratefully, I glimpse new patches of beauty and grace.
