ARTIST STATEMENT

The classic Australian song by Geoff Mack, ‘I’ve Been Everywhere’ written in 1959, has been adapted by singers in many countries. This quilt incorporates Australian place names and the colours and textures of the Australian Outback. Warm earthy shades represent the desert sands and the gold lettering hints of the Gold Rush period of the 1800s.

Permission granted by the author and EMI.
