ARTIST STATEMENT

I imagine dragons as being somewhat iridescent. As the dragons fly, the sun reflects the colors of the spectrum from their iridescent skin and scales. This Dragon’s Tail is predominately in the red violet range. 

MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES

Materials: Commercial cottons, beading, embroidery, cotton batting. 

Techniques: Machine pieced, needle turned appliqué, machine free motion quilted with some ruler, hand running stitch, and beading.
