ARTIST STATEMENT
My search for appropriate tints, tones, shades, and textures produced endless possibilities. Persistent “not quites” prompted the understanding that if the answer wasn’t there, I could create fabric to make it work. Solutions, like possibilities, are boundless if only we stretch to create new options. Likewise, my design reflects that we often operate in isolation. Individuals work to find solutions using their unique talents and resources. Styles and visions vary, and there is no single right option. Consider what might happen if we reached out and worked at connecting to find solutions. Connections can generate energy, inspire new possibilities, and above all, lift us when the challenges seem too great. Creating connections is essential.
